We've been fortunate enough to have Makenna take my fiancé & I's photos twice now - once when we were dating & the second time for our engagement. Both were such special memories and I look at each set all the time. Besides the fact that the photos are clean, bright and elegant, Makenna is a natural at making you feel comfortable and free to be yourself during the shoot. Both times we basically didn't even notice she was even there which, for our engagement especially, kept it feeling intimate and private. She knows when to direct and when to let the moments to be captured come about naturally. Though you might feel out of your element in front of the camera, it doesn't take long with her guidance to let that initial guard down. We’re so grateful to have photos from each of these stages in our lives that we'll be able to share with our family one day. Makenna did our engagement and wedding photos! We couldn’t have asked for a better photographer! Makenna is professional in how she handles logistics and the booking process. We’ve never met a sweeter and more talented angel than Makenna. She did our very first couple photoshoot and it was the most natural and pure thing we have ever done. Our overall experience with Makenna as our wedding photographer was nothing short of amazing! She has shot for my sister’s family photos several times, and I always loved how the pictures came out. Since booking with her, we had to make a couple of changes to our wedding venue, and with every change, she was quick to adjust our contract and keep us in the loop with her suggestions for the wedding day flow. The questionnaire provided in the contract helped her get to know us as a couple and was an easy way to communicate our wants/ needs/ concerns/ shot list, etc! We were worried about looking too stiff in front of the lens, but she made us feel comfortable and helped guide us throughout the process. Also want to point out that we had unexpected rain on our wedding day, and she absolutely took the long hours in the rain like a champ! Highly recommend!
